Lyndon Baines Johnson (b. 1908 in Johnson City, Texas-d. January 22, 1973, Johnson City, Texas), politician, U.S. Senator, 36th President of the United States. He director of National Youth Administration in 1935, was elected U.S. Senator in 1948, elected vice-president to John F. Kennedy in 1960, then president in 1963. He married Claudia Alta Taylor, also known as Lady Bird, on November 17, 1934, in Karnack, Texas.
