Jackson, Howell Edmunds, 1832-1895

Howell Jackson graduated from the Lebanon Law School in 1856, was elected to the Tennessee House of Representatives in 1880, to the U.S. Senate in 1881, was appointed U.S. Circuit judge by President Cleveland in 1891, and in 1893 became an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
