O'Donnell, Kenneth P., 1924-1977

Kenneth Phillip O'Donnell (1924-1977) was the Director of campaign organization, John F. Kennedy re-election campaign for Senate in 1958, and Organizer and Director of John F. Kennedy presidential campaign schedule in 1960. From 1961 to 1965, he was the Special Assistant to the President, and in 1964 served as the Executive Director of the Democratic National Committee. In 1965, he was an unsuccessful candidate for the Democratic nomination for Governor of Massachusetts, and in 1968, he was the Campaign Manager for Robert F. Kennedy's presidential campaign. In 1970, O'Donnell made another unsuccessful bid for the Democratic nomination for Governor of Massachusetts.
