Haight, Henry H., 1825-1878
Henry Huntley Haight, California governor, was born in New York and graduated from Yale University in 1844. Haight moved to San Francisco, CA, and practiced law there until he was elected governor of California in 1867. After losing his bid for reelection in 1871, Haight returned to private practice until his death.
