Anderson, Thomas Lynewolde.

Thomas Lynewolde Anderson was born ca. 1873-1874, attended Scotch College and obtained his medical qualifications at the University of Melbourne. He was employed at Ovens District Hospital, Beechworth, Vic., Fremantle Hospital, W.A., and in general practice in Fremantle. In 1907, he was sent to Europe by the W.A. Government to study typhoid and diphtheria. He served with the Australian Military Forces in the Australian Army Medical Corps Reserves and enlisted for the Australian Imperial Force on 1 May 1915 with the rank of Captain. He was promoted to Major on 27 Apr. 1917. He served with the Australian Army Medical Corps at the 3rd Australian General Hospital and the 1st Australian Auxiliary Hospital and was demobilised on 17 Jan. 1920. After the war, he practised in Perth and served as a part time medical officer in World War II. He was awarded the O. B. E. and died on 14 Sept. 1952.
