She describes a trip to the Louvre with Louise Breslau and also discusses commissions she has received. The entries are in Bashkirtseff's hand, with some additions made by her cousin Irma when the painter was ill. There are entries for the following dates: 1877 Nov. 11; 1877 Dec. 1; 1878 Jan. 18; 1878 July 15; 1880 Sept. 6; 1880 Nov. 17; 1881 Jan. 29; 1881 Feb. 27; 1881 July 9 (?). The selections do not appear in either of the two volumes published by Bibliotheque-Charpentier (1903). Also included in this collection is a letter from Maurice Barres to Pierre Borel, dated October 17, 1922. Barres praises Borel's efforts to publish Bashkirtseff's papers, but asks that his letters to the painter not be included in the volume.
