Governor of Kentucky, U.S. senator, educator.
J.C.W. Beckham served the Commonwealth of Kentucky as governor from 1900-1906, being elected by special session and then serving a full term. In 1915, he was elected as United States Senator and served in this capacity until 1921, when he lost his reelection bid.
