Biographical History

Hugh Studebaker (1901-1978) performed on many radio shows throughout the 1930s and 1940s. His major roles included Silly Watson on “Fibber McGee and Molly," Dr. Robert Graham on “Bachelor’s Children,” and Harry Henderson in “The Beulah Show.” Other productions included “Knickerbocker Playhouse,” “Whispering Smith,” and “Brewster Boy”. In the late 1940s he played a part on the television soap opera, “Guiding Light.” In addition, he toured on the Chautauqua circuit in the 1920s and was one of the original organizers of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
