Biographical History
Epithet: operatic tenor
Walter Slezak (1902-1983) was Leo's son. Alma Mahler apparently knew Leo Slezak in Vienna. Later, when she and Franz Werfel moved to California after their emigration to the U.S., they had social contact there with Walter Slezak and his family. Walter had been acting in the U.S. since the 1930s.
Austrian-Czech tenor.
