Biographical History

Kennedy, who was resident of Riverdale, Utah, served in Liverpool Conference (renamed Liverpool District in 1927) of British Mission, January 1926-January 1928. He was assigned to Accrington Branch with Grant M. Wilde as companion, January-May 1926, and to Blackburn Branch, June 1926-January 1928, with conference presidents Virgil M. Groo and Wilford L. Hansen as companions, followed by Kenneth A. Nielson and William F. Forsey. Kennedy served as conference clerk, May 1926-January 1927, and then as conference/district president until his return home.

Kennedy served throughout his mission in Liverpool Conference (renamed Liverpool District in 1927), being stationed briefly in Accrington Branch and then in Blackburn Branch. In latter half of 1926 he served as conference clerk. He then served as conference/district president from January 1927 until his release in January 1928.

President and Chairman of the Board of Continental Bank in Chicago and Secretary of the Treasury under President Richard Nixon. Later he was appointed Ambassador-at-large and U.S. representative to NATO. He also served as special representative to the First Presidency of the Mormon Church.
