Biographical History

Keep (Harvard, M.D. 1827) served as the first dean of the Harvard Dental School from 1868 to 1872. He had an extensive practice and devised a method for making porcelain false teeth. At the Parkman-Webster trial of 1850, he identified a set of teeth he had made for his patient George Parkman, providing the expert testimony which convicted John White Webster of murder.
