Brinley, Francis W., 1796-1859.
Francis William Brinley was born May 26, 1796, in Rhode Island, son of Edward Brinley and Janet (Parker) Brinley. He died May 17, 1859, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Brinley moved his family to Venezuela, possibly as early as 1826. Brinley and his family returned to the United States in 1829 and settled in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He served as Mayor of Perth Amboy from 1845 to 1847 and as Surveyor General of New Jersey from 1845 to 1859.
