E. Dale LeBaron is a Canadian native who served as the mission president in the South African Johannesburg mission and was a professor of Church History at Brigham Young University.

E. Dale LeBaron was born in Barnwell, Alberta, Canada. He served as the South African Johannesburg Mission President during the 1970s. He has written and spoken widely on the Latter-day Saint Church in Africa. He was professor of Church History at Brigham Young University before returning to Africa to collect oral histories of the early converts to the Church in Africa.
