Women's City Club (Washington, D.C.)
The Club was founded in 1919. It held lecture series, language classes, and a food drive for post-WW II Europe. The Club took positions on issues such as women's suffrage, home rule, and abolition of capital punishment.

First local women's club with own meeting house. Took positions on such issues as home rule, woman's suffrage, abolition of capital punishment. Supported Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind and other social and cultural programs. Maintained a national and international network of women's groups. Became member of D.C. Federation of Women's clubs in 1920.
