The Bangor Opera House was built from 1881 to 1882 and was located at 127-135 Main St., Bangor, Me., by architect Arthur H. Vinal, who was with the Boston architectural firm of Peabody & Stearns. It was built in the Romanesque Revival style after H. H. Richardson. Vinal also designed the Mt. Kineo House and the Calais Public Library. The building burned in 1914 and was rebuilt in 1919-1920, with Edward Bolen as architect.
