Biography

Alan Bud Yorkin was born in Washington, PA, Feb. 22, 1926; BS, Carnegie Mellon Univ., graduate work at Columbia Univ., English Literature; began his career in television at NBC (1950) and went on to produce and direct a variety of shows including "All In The Family," "Sanford And Son," and "Carter Country"; co-founded Tandem Productions with Norman Lear (1959) and later went on to form Bud Yorkin Productions (1974); he is the recipient of numerous awards including six Emmys.
