James Donald Cameron was born in Middletown, Pennsylvania in 1833. He was president of the Northern Central Railroad from 1863 to 1874. Cameron served as Secretary of War in 1876 to 1877 and as Pennsylvania Senator from 1877 to 1897. He died in 1918.
