Began the Islesford Collection in 1919 with the primary object to gather historic and antiquarian materials relating to the Cranberry Isles (Baker, Bear, Great Cranberry, Little Cranberry, and Sutton) and the Town of Cranberry Isles and house such materials in his museum/gallery in Islesford known as the Blue Duck (also called the Islesford Museum). Since the growth of the collection was rapid it became clear that a larger building was needed and the Islesford Historical Committee was established (ca. 1926) and later renamed the Islesford Collection Inc. Through the endeavors of this organization the Islesford Historical Museum would be built.
