Michael Gibson (1944-2005) was an orchestrator and arranger for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals, films, and concert performances by Broadway artists. He attended Harvard University before transferring to Berklee College of Music, where he studied composition and theory.

Gibson orchestrated many Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, and he had a long working relationship with the composer John Kander. He also orchestrated and arranged music for concert appearances or recordings by performers such as Barbara Cook, Patti LuPone, Kristin Chenoweth, and Chita Rivera.
