Gilbert, Stirling Price, 1862-1951
Variant namesJudge S. Price Gilbert, Sr. (1862-1951) served as a member of the Supreme Court of Georgia for over 25 years, beginning in 1916. In addition to donating money to the University of Georgia, Judge Gilbert's generosity to Georgia Tech permitted the construction of Price Gilbert Memorial Library, which opened in 1953.
